Sally + Overcast

Summer is getting closer, so you can imagine my disappointment when I woke up to look out my window and see nothing but cold, overcast weather, gusts of wind and snowflakes falling!

The best part of an overcast day is the light - this is the PERFECT type of day for photography (minus the cold and snow aspects ofcourse!). The cloud cover creates an amazingly soft blanket of light, so I decided to do a quick portrait session with a friend.

Sally recently graduated from OCAD and works at one of my favourite little cafe's in town - Cafe Crepe. Everything she has made for me there has been delicious! She also happens to be from the same town I (mostly) grew up in - Peterborough, ON.

She is a VERY busy girl - working at the cafe, taking more courses, as well as finding time to teach local school kids arts and crafts.

I was excited to be able to have her come all the way downtown before starting her shift at the cafe! Other than the wind, I'm very happy with the way things turned out.

Here is the outcome - natural light at its finest
